Explore mold making with sand and molten glass.  Meet for the afternoon, create casted tiles experimenting with textures, organic matters, and so much more.  Class is limited to two to three persons.

Kiln Casting Class

Amanda Parker was a guest artist at Tide Line Gallery this month. A group of five made a clay positive, mixed their own one part plaster mold, and then put them into the kiln for days of melting and annealing. Amanda shared with us her favorite kiln casters in a slide show, went over mold making, and taught us about the annealing schedules.
Amanda's next classes at Tide Line will be the Pate de Verre, and kiln casting multi part molds. We are now taking names and emails for those interested. Dates to follow after the Winter Holidays!

Stained Glass Beginners Class

Stained Glass Classes for Beginners and Refreshers

Given twelve hours of studio time and instruction.  It's expected to do something at home to make sure your project is done in course time.  After you learn how to cut the glass, you will be well on your way to creating a small panel, colors of your choice using the copper foil method.  You will leave with enough knowledge and confidence to continue the art on your own.  Class sizes are limited to eight.  Please note that should you require more studio time than allotted, there will be studio hourly drop-in charge.

Kiln Casting Class with Amanda Parker

Amanda Parker is a recent graduate from the Sheridan's Crafts and Design Program and is coming to TLG to share with us her expertise in kiln casting!  Her class is limited spaces, where you will be making a one part, open faced mold.  It will be two days of fun with clay, mixing plaster, measuring glass, lots of laughs, note taking and ideas flowing!

Tuesday November 9th 10am - 4pm

Wednesday November 10th 10am - 4pm

Class includes everything you will need to complete one project of your choice.  It would be a good idea to research and come up with a few ideas of what you'd like to make.  Keeping in mind you will be doing the sculpting from clay!

Tulips are sprouting

Here we are in the middle of Feb (Toni-Ann's birthday month) and the tulips are blooming...amazing.

Please call to book your class in advance as they fill up quickly. 50% deposit is given upon booking, balance due day of the class.
Wear comfortable clothes with no ties or dangling jewelry. Bring a lunch and arrive before 10am the class is complete by 4pm and you will pick up your creations the following day.
